This past week, David and I had the opportunity to go on a vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico (hence why I have not been blogging lately). It was a blast. We basically spent 4 days looking out at the pacific reading a book and sipping on pretty drinks. It’s a rough life out there 😉 . We were ready to come back to our snow covered Colorado though.
Thanks to my brother working for AA, we even got to ride first class one one of the legs of our trip. I was like a kid at Christmas. I will forever be one of those “inexperienced” first class passengers that takes pictures with my phone of just about everything they bring me- mimosas, lunch, dessert, and even a warm towel to wipe our hands with. Like I said- fancy.
My favorite parts of the trip: sitting on the beach at night gazing at the stars (never fails to remind me how incredibly small I am), no alarm clocks, practicing my “Spanish”, my man next to me as we read for hours day after day, and para-sailing (a first for me!). It was a great trip. We are blessed to feel the perks of having a brother who does marketing for a pretty big airline. Makes me think again about the idea of being a flight attendant. I wonder if any airline is in need of someone to help with their nutrition?? I could evaluate their first class meals for nutrient content and then travel the world in my spare time! Ha, just a thought.
I must say though that staying at an all inclusive for several days sure makes me ready to come home and cook in my own kitchen. The cabinets are packed and ready to make pumpkin pasta, banana bread, and a few other things that I have been dreaming up with all the time I had to think. Come back again later this weekend. I will be posting more on these ideas soon!
